NOON Year’s eve

Your whole family can celebrate the new year without staying up past anyone’s bedtime!

This was our best idea for still getting to celebrate new years with young children. Let’s face it – we’re not exactly a fun time at midnight these days anyway. We’ve used the same formula for the last 3 years and it is ALWAYS a hit!

1/ Decorations

2/ Food & Drink

We don’t overcomplicate the food/drink for our noon year’s eve – everyone comes around 11, we have bagels/spreads, prosecco, a few fruit juices for mimosas, fruit salad and a quiche.

3/ A plan

We are very clear on the timeline for this type of shindig, as we definitely don’t want people sticking around until the actual ball drops at midnight. We usually call it 11 to 2 and make sure we make clear we’ll be counting down to noon for the kids – we search youtube for the Disney castle countdown with fireworks to make it even more exciting! And then we actually count down and celebrate like it’s the NEW YEAR!

Hope this helps those parents in the thick of it to actually celebrate NYE a bit with friends who are just as sleep deprived!
